What we collect to translate your pages, who helps us do it, and how to get your data back or deleted.
1. Who is responsible
Zenin Media LLP, which operates Panelift, decides how your personal data is used on Panelift. Questions, requests and grievances: [email protected] (grievances also [email protected]).
2. What we collect
- Account: your name, email address, password (stored only as a hash) or the sign-in provider you use, and your team memberships and roles.
- Your pages: the images you upload or import, the translations made from them, and your series memory (names, terms, summaries).
- Rights confirmations: for every job, who confirmed they have the rights to the pages, when, and from which IP address.
- Payments: plan, amounts, invoices and the GSTIN you give us. Card and bank details go to Razorpay, never to us.
- Usage and security: sign-ins, IP addresses, device and browser type, the jobs you run and errors, kept to run, secure and improve the service.
- Messages: what you send us in problem reports, support email or a copyright notice.
3. Why we use it
- To provide Panelift: translate your pages, keep your account, credits and history (our contract with you).
- To bill you and keep the records tax law requires (legal obligation).
- To answer copyright notices, prevent abuse of free credits and keep Panelift secure (our legitimate interest, and our duties as an intermediary).
- To email you about your account and jobs, and, if you have not opted out, about new features.
4. Free pages and preventing abuse
Free pages are meant for one account per person. When you choose to claim them from your dashboard, and only then, we check that this device and network have not already claimed them for another account. To do that we use:
- A device cookie: a random identifier Panelift stores in your browser for a year (
pl_device). - A browser signature: a one-way fingerprint your browser computes from its own characteristics (browser and system version, language, time zone, screen, graphics hardware and how it draws a test image). Only the fingerprint is sent, never those details.
- Your network: the first part of your IP address (the /24 or /64 block), so a few accounts on one connection can claim but not dozens.
- A linked Google or Discord account on yours, which confirms a real person.
We store the cookie, fingerprint and network only as keyed hashes that cannot be turned back into the originals, compare them only to other free-page claims, and use them for nothing else: no advertising, no tracking across sites, no profiling, no sharing. We clear them 12 months after the claim; the record that your account claimed free pages stays while the account exists.
Email sign-up also runs Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that a person rather than a script is signing up. Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser signals for that check under its own privacy terms.
Claiming free pages is your choice, and these checks are part of that choice: under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act this is the consent you give when you claim, and under the GDPR it rests on our legitimate interest in preventing fraud. If you would rather not, do not claim them; every part of Panelift works with a plan or credit pack without these checks. If free pages are refused and you think it is a mistake (a shared or family computer, for example), write to [email protected] and a person will look at it.
5. Who processes it for us
We share data only with providers that run part of Panelift for us, under contract:
- OpenAI: reading and translating the text on your pages, and cleaning the art.
- RunPod: GPU servers that process pages.
- Cloudflare: storage of pages and translations (R2), network and security, and the Turnstile check on sign-up.
- Razorpay: payments. Resend: account and job emails, and mail sent to our @panelift.com addresses.
- Our server host, for the database and application.
Some of these process data outside India. We do not sell your data, and we do not let these providers use your pages to train their models where they offer that choice.
We disclose data to the authorities or a rights holder only where the law requires it, for example a court order.
6. How long we keep it
- Uploaded pages: 7 days. Translated pages: 30 days after the job finishes.
- Account data: while your account is open, then deleted or anonymised, except what we must keep.
- Payment and invoice records: as long as tax law requires (in India, up to 8 years).
- Rights confirmations, copyright notices and security logs: as long as needed to handle claims.
- Free-page checks (device, browser fingerprint and network hashes): 12 months after the claim.
7. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, withdraw consent to marketing email (every email has an unsubscribe link), and complain to us or to the data protection authority where you live. Write to [email protected]; we answer within 30 days. Deleting your account deletes your pages, translations and series memory.
9. Changes
We tell you about important changes to this policy by email or in your dashboard before they apply. See also the Terms of Service.
