Terms of Service
Last updated 15 October 2026
The short version: translate only what you have the rights to, keep what you need within 30 days, and tell us if something is wrong.
1. Who we are
These terms are an agreement between you and Zenin Media LLP, which operates Panelift ("Panelift", "we"). By creating an account or using Panelift you accept them. If you use Panelift for a company, you accept them for that company and confirm you may.
Questions about these terms: [email protected].
2. What Panelift does
Panelift is a tool. You give it pages of manga, manhwa or manhua; it reads the text, translates it, removes the original lettering and letters the translation into the same space. The result is returned to your account only. Panelift does not publish, host for the public, index or distribute anything you translate, and it is not a place to read or share comics.
3. Your content and your rights to it
You may only upload or import pages you have the right to translate: work you created, work you hold the translation rights to, work whose rights holder has given you permission, or work in the public domain. Each time you start a translation you confirm this, and we record who confirmed it, when and from where.
A translation is a derivative work. Making one without permission, or sharing one, can infringe the rights holder's copyright even if you do not charge for it. You are responsible for having the rights you confirm, and for what you do with the translated pages.
You keep whatever rights you have in your pages and in the translations Panelift makes for you. You give us a limited licence to store and process them only to provide Panelift to you: reading, translating, cleaning, lettering, keeping your series memory, and showing them in your account. We do not use your pages or translations to train our own models.
4. What you must not do
- Translate pages you do not have the rights to, including scans from piracy or aggregator sites.
- Publish, share or sell translations of work you do not have the rights to.
- Upload anything unlawful, including sexual content involving minors, which we report to the authorities.
- Remove or try to defeat the marks that identify the job a translated page came from.
- Get around limits: open several accounts for free credits, share an account to dodge plan limits, or scrape, overload or probe the service.
- Use Panelift to build a competing service from its output, or resell access without our agreement.
5. Copyright notices and repeat infringers
Rights holders can tell us about a translation made with Panelift on the Rights and takedown page. When a notice is valid we delete the results it covers, record a strike against the account that made them and tell the account holder. An account that reaches three strikes is suspended. We may suspend sooner for clear or serious misuse.
If you believe a notice against you is a mistake, reply to our email with your reasons and your contact details. If the rights holder does not start legal action, we may restore the account. We do not restore deleted pages.
6. Job marks
Every translated page carries an invisible mark that identifies the job it came from. It does not change how the page looks. We use it to answer copyright notices and to investigate misuse, and never to show who you are to anyone else unless the law requires it.
7. How long we keep your pages
- Uploaded source pages are deleted 7 days after upload, once they are no longer needed for a job.
- Translated pages are kept for 30 days after the job finishes, then deleted. Download what you want to keep. The job's record (dates, page counts, credits) stays in your history.
- Your series memory (names, terms, summaries) stays until you delete the series or your account.
8. Credits, plans and payment
Translations are paid for in credits. A page in one language takes a set number of credits that depends on the mode and on whether the series is 18+ (10 in Fast for a general series); the job form shows the total before you start. A mode may be paused for a time and is then not offered. Prices and allowances are on the pricing page, charged through Razorpay.
- Credits you buy in a pack never expire while your account is open.
- Plans renew every month until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the plan and its credits last until the end of the period you paid for. Unused plan credits carry over while the plan is active.
- Free credits have no cash value and may be changed or withdrawn.
- If a page fails, its credits come back to your balance. Paid credits you have not used can be refunded if you ask within 7 days of buying them; free or promotional credits never are. The details are in our cancellation and refund policy.
9. Machine translation
Panelift uses AI models. Its translations and lettering can be wrong, miss text or misread a speaker. Pages that fail our checks are held for you to review, but no check catches everything. Read the result before you rely on it or publish it.
10. Suspension and closing your account
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, risks harm to others or to Panelift, or that the law requires us to act on. Where we can, we tell you why first. Credits on a closed account for breaking these terms are not refunded.
11. Warranties and liability
Panelift is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be uninterrupted, error free or fit for a particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You will cover our reasonable costs and losses from a claim by someone else that arises from pages you uploaded without the rights to them, or from how you used the translations.
12. Changes, law and disputes
We may change these terms. For a change that matters we tell you by email or in your dashboard at least 14 days before it applies; using Panelift after that means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, without taking away rights you have under the consumer law of where you live.
Grievances: [email protected]. We acknowledge a grievance within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days.
