Webtoon translation

Webtoons into English, one long strip at a time.

Panelift is an AI webtoon translator: upload a vertical strip in Korean, Chinese or Japanese and get it back in English, the original lettering erased, the art painted back and the English lettered into each bubble. A strip is cut where the panels already break, translated with the whole chapter in view, and stitched back into one strip.

What Panelift does with it

How a chapter goes

  1. 1

    Bring the chapter

Upload the pages (PNG, JPEG or WebP), a ZIP or CBZ, or paste the link to the chapter's page.

  2. 2

    Check the series

Panelift reads the title off the pages, looks the series up and fills in its English title, story and genres. Change anything that is off.

  3. 3

    Translate

The whole chapter is read first, then every bubble is erased, the art painted back, and the English lettered into the same space.

  4. 4

    Read, fix, download

Read it in the browser, reword any line in the page editor, and download the chapter as a ZIP or a PDF.

Questions

Can Panelift translate long webtoon strips?

Yes. A strip much taller than it is wide is cut at the gutters between panels, translated, and stitched back into one strip.

Which languages can a webtoon be in?

Korean, Chinese or Japanese, translated into English. More target languages are planned.

How much does it cost to translate a webtoon episode?

Fast mode costs 1 credit a page (2.5 for an 18+ series), and every account starts with 10 free credits. A page that fails a check is refunded. See the cost page for what a chapter costs in your currency.

Do I need the rights to the webtoon?

Yes. Panelift is for people who hold the rights to a work or have the rights holder's permission; you confirm it for every chapter, and rights holders can ask for a takedown.
